Planning, Presenting, Producing part 1
January 18, 2008 – 3:45 am(The new version of selection professional planning software features a wide range of new functions along with impressive extensions and modifications. It assists the cabinet maker in day-to-day business where fast, precision planning and design presentation are of vital importance.)
Developed in conjunction with imos AG, the AUTOCAD-based fitting adviser comes with all the main modules that provide flexibility, speed and comprehensive assistance dealing with the complex tasks involves in planning, designing and presenting furniture. Selection designs can also be easily imported into the “imos CAD system”.
Design Made Easy, Flexible Planning
The modern and easy to understand program interfaces guide users to their design target step by step even if they have no previous knowledge of CAD, and this is regardless of whether they are creating kitchen or office furniture, living room cabinet or bespoke items. The carcase designs are user-selectable and important criteria include issues like wall-to-wall or single cabinet construction, 32-mm or freely definable system, automatic adjustment of hardware to the hole line, cover panels for cabinet, top/bottom panel inlaid/continuous/mitred or side to side, rear panels grooved, rebated, surface fitted, and plinth options. Options can then be saved in “user profiles” and retrieved when ever they are needed.
User-Defined Carcase Layout
Centre Panels, fitted and loose shelves, drawer options as well as their alignment with drill-hole lines, interior drawers, solid wood, glass, framed or profile doors-all can be inserted into the carcase as well as arranged and combined in any quantity. Once designed, a cabinet can be viewed immediately in 3-D and subsequently saved. Carcase dimensions, cabinet layout and choice of hardware can be changed at the later stage. Design step can just as easily be undone.
Design cabinets can be added to the carcase library. Cabinets from the library can be adapted at any time.
Intelligent Catalogue Selection
Fittings are chosen from the electronic Hettich product catalogue or by selecting personal favourites. The advantages: the programme suggests the ideal fitting for the design, obviating the need for any time consuming search activity and making it almost impossible to select the wrong hardware. The additional favourites logic function works like this: when the programme discovers a design that has been produced before, it remembers the hardware the user selected and suggests it automatically.
